New Year's REVOLUTION 2007!!!
Just wanted to share some encouragement and inspiration with you as we begin 2007...
Instead of making empty New Year's "resolutions" that no one ever keeps, I believe God is calling us to have a New Year's "REVOLUTION". A "resolution" is defined as "a decision to take future action" -- which perhaps explains why we never get around to fulfilling them! A "revolution," on the other hand, is a "complete and radical change of any kind." God wants to help you transform your life to experience peace, joy, and fulfillment like you've never known.
As St. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:12-14..."Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: FORGETTING WHAT IS BEHIND and straining toward what is ahead. I PRESS ON TOWARD THE GOAL to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
So, I encourage you to leave past regrets, mistakes, and disappointments in the past -- where they belong -- and to move forward into a New Year with a clean slate and a fresh start. It's time for a New Year's Revolution! And the good news is you don't even have to do it on your own strength -- "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you", as Philippians 4:13 states.
